Introduction

Hey, i have been writing on-line about basketball long before i took up the cause of writing about software and Michigan business, as my other blogs are about...a long time ago, i was a frequent forum participant on the Sacramento Bee newspaper's coverage of the Sacramento Kings, during the glory run of 2000-03...it was great fun...

When I moved from CA to MI, i began to participate in the mlive.com forum on the Pistons, and have been a frequent contributor there since about 2005...but, as i was talking with a friend the other day, i was compelled to check on his computer, the latest threads regarding the Iverson trade, and realized that until i get a G1 phone, i just don't want to be compelled to check the Internet every 2 hours, to keep up with the conversations...

so, i am bringing everyone to me, with this blog...

What i intend to do is bring perspective to the politics of hoops, particularly the NBA, though i also follow Izzo and Michigan State, and will forever be a Fab 5 fan...Michigan hoops means a lot to me...in particular, for all those that know me from the Sacramento and Mlive forums, they know i have made a hobby out of defending Chris Webber: someone has to, right?...

With the new season upon us, i think i am going to try and stay engaged on what is going on from the referee scandal to Duke bias to EC v. WC analysis, and everything in between...i don't write blogs to make friends, i write blogs to keep myself sane in the face of so much propaganda given to us in the form of conventional wisdom...

I guess i don't think i am always right, but at least we can debate about it...and, basically, it will be easier for me to do that here, than always checking the forums to participate on...so feel free to comment on my theories, but you might want to check my previous work before getting involved, because i know basketball just as well as software, and though i try to be fair, i don't consider being inflammatory to be a crime...

maybe someday they will shut my blog(s) down, until then, i will take advantage of this great utility to write and write and write...its what i love to do, so bookmark me, and get involved, it should be another good year of the great American sport: basketball...

I will miss McDyess. But, I love Joe D's ambitions...
