fantasy basketball

so, i am taking the plunge in to the world of on-line fantasy sports leagues, and initiating a NBA contest between me and some friends, if any of you want to get involved, let me know, here is my take on my draft order as i am going after it, in terms of the players i want as part of my team:

a. LeBron and/or Carmelo
for me, i prefer carmelo to LBJ as a player, he is a collegiate champion and a consummate team player who gets everyone involved in a way that does not show up in stats, but in order to win the league i have to consider trying to take LBJ for the stats the guy puts up, anthony though is my number #1 pick if i am starting a franchise....

3. Joe Johnson, ATL
4. Deron Williams, Utah
5. Devin Harris, NJ
6. Gerald Wallace, Charlotte
7. Gilbert Arenas, Wash.
8. Charlie Villanueva, DET
9. LaMarcus Aldridge, PDX
10. Josh Smith, ATL
11. Hedo Turkoglu, TOR
12. Ben Gordon, DET
13. Mike Conley, Memphis
14. Rodney Stuckey, DET

for me the pick of Villanueva is a no-brainer even if he starts slow, and the players i pick are my favorites in the league, with Bibby nearing retirement or at least slowing down, and Rip and Tay not putting up big numbers this year, this is my team for fantasy hoops, i have every confidence that this is a solid line-up even if it does not win my point totals the highest every week, i will enjoy looking after these players all throughout the season....

i hope they all stay healthy, especially Gilbert, agent zero, the hibachi, Arrenas, if so, this is a good time to be watching professional basketball, and a good time for you to tell me your team, if you dare to get picked apart by my analysis, as some of the boys over on mlive.com/forums/pistons dont like to challenge me in actual discussions that matter, or are ever relevant but ill keep trying to see if they engage and stop whining about trades for the Pistons, its not happening boys, im trying to tell you this is the team we got:

stuck (bynum), rip (gordon), tay (daye), villanueva (maxiell), kwame (wilcox) and that is a solid 10 right there i would put that up against any teams' top 10 and i think all the way down the bench the Pistons are better, so i cant wait for a new year, for a new way to talk to you guys, i am looking forward to the season to start.....
